Senior Architect (London, Shanghai)

Requirement:

  • A globally minded individual with passion for creativity and positive, proactive attitude.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in architecture or design (or equivalent/higher).
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a leading local or international architecture firm.
  • Strong experience as senior architect or project architect for more than 3 different sectors of project, i.e., culture, mixed-use, office (please specify your role and scope of work in your portfolio).
  • A clear communicator who combines outstanding aesthetic design sensitivity with thorough technical knowledge and managerial experience.
  • Exemplary organisation skills and ability to work under pressure, meet deadline, and collaborate with team members.
  • Extensive expertise in technical drawing stage, architectural detailing, and building systems and materials with knowledge in practice and industry standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, including BIM (Revit; please state your level of BIM knowledge, i.e., 300, 500), Rhino, Grasshopper, 3D Max, etc. (please describe your level of all mentioned software skills).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (please specify in your portfolio if the drawing(s) is fully developed by yourself; if not, please state your level of participation).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator are required; After Effects and Premiere are preferred).
  • Experience in visual and render production, skilled in software such as Twinmotion.
  • Excellent verbal and written English; Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Responsibility:

  • Actively participate from conceptual to technical developments of the project.
  • Create concept design under the guidance of studio design leadership upon request.
  • Effectively facilitate, communicate, and monitor project work plans, deliverables, schedule, and quality internally with project teams and project leadership and externally with clients and consultant.
  • Take charge of day-to-day project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques.
  • Lead and guide junior team members throughout day-to-day design work.
  • Exhibit design initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision quality with a high attention to precision and accuracy.
  • Manages time of project and workload of own work efforts and those of team members to meet project task deadlines and commitments, and initiate regular interactions with project leadership.
  • Proactively checks and coordinates project documents, including but not limited to drawing set, design details, dimensions, interdisciplinary coordination, specifications for compliance with the project’s technical requirements.

Junior Architect (London, Shanghai)

Requirement:

  • Manages time of project and workload of own work efforts and those of team members to meet project task deadlines and commitments, and initiate regular interactions with project leadership.

Architect Intern (Shanghai)

Requirement:

  • Second year or higher of Master’s Program in architecture or design, or recent graduate.
  • Experience in different stages of drawing production, design report, physical model making, and render production.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drawing production; please state your level of skill with each software package in your application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator are required; After Effects and Premiere are preferred).
  • Experience in visual and render production, skilled in softwares such as Twinmotion.
  • Experience in 3D printing is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English; Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Responsibility:

  • 3-month internship in Shanghai studio.
  • Actively participate in the design process to develop drawings, presentation, physical model, etc.
  • Develop rendering and digital & physical model building skills.
  • Assist studio design leadership with communication between clients and consultants.
  • Promote collaboration across all disciplines, with both professional and administrative teammates.
  • Gain knowledge of building systems, codes, and design.
  • Organise and maintain project files.
  • Support design leadership upon request.

3D Visualiser Intern (Shanghai)

Requirement:

  • Second year or higher of Master’s Program in art, graphic/product design, or film studies, or recent graduate.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drawing production; please state your level of skill with each software package in your application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere).
  • Experience in one or more of the following software: Cinema 4D, UE5, 3D Max, and Vray.
  • Experience in 3D printing is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English; Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Responsibility:

  • 3-month internship in Shanghai studio.
  • Actively participate in the design process and develop 3D visuals.
  • Assist studio design leadership with communication and software skills.
  • Promote collaboration across all disciplines, with both professional and administrative teammates.
  • Gain knowledge of design communication and software skills.
  • Organise and maintain project files.
  • Support visual artist upon request.
